Google has made some changes which is sure going to rock the “article marketing” world.
Those who are trying to “spin” articles and just publish many articles to “content farms” with content that doesn’t make sense, will find themselves spinning and posting for nothing.
What is a Content Farm? They are websites that churn out lots and lots of articles that are either machine-generated, spun, rehashed from PLR articles or simply copied word-for-word from other websites. Now, you would think that the sites that are hit hard would be splogs (i.e. spam blogs) but interestingly, it’s the associated content sites that have been most affected …sites like Hubpages.com, Mahalo.com and EzineArticles.com.

Google also says that many of the changes are so subtle that very few people notice them. To determine if recent Google algorithm has affected your website SE traffic, check it easily by analyzing your site’s organic traffic in past few days using Google Analytics. Just visit Google Analytics > Traffic sources > Search Engines and choose ‘Google’ (organic) as the traffic source. Now examine your site’s organic traffic by seeing its growth or fall after Feb 24. Fortunately, this update hasn’t impacted our organic traffic.
To start with, Google is launching this change in the U.S. only. They plan to roll it out elsewhere over time.
